WASHINGTON (Indiana) – True Rx Management Services, a national pharmacy benefit management (PBM) company, announced plans for a new $1.8 million facility on the east side of Washington near I-69, said Mark Williams, CEO. The company, which serves patients and employers in all 50 states, expects to create 90 new jobs by 2023.

“With the support of homegrown Hoosier companies like True Rx, Indiana will continue to build on its economic momentum and position the state for long-term growth and success,” said Indiana Secretary of Commerce Jim Schellinger. “I’m confident that Indiana’s pro-growth business environment and skilled workforce will allow True Rx to continue growing in Daviess County as they work to deliver critical pharmaceutical solutions to customers across the U.S.”

“The city of Washington and Daviess County provided a solid foundation upon which to grow our national business,” said Williams, who founded True Rx Management Services together with his brother CC Williams.  They also own and operate Williams Brothers Health Care Pharmacy employing more than 500 people. “We are grateful to the City Council of Washington and others in the region for supporting our growth and look forward to future success.”

“True Rx Management Services provides important pharmaceutical support to provide high value for employers, employees and government agencies,” said Washington Mayor Dave Rhoads. “With an impressive national network of more than 65,000 participating pharmacies, True Rx’s performance in providing prescription drug benefits represents an important part of healthcare delivery and we are very pleased to see their expansion here in Washington.”

The Indiana Economic Development Corporation offered True Rx up to $650,000 in conditional tax credits based on the company’s job creation plans and up to $150,000 in conditional tax credits from the Hoosier Business Investment (HBI) tax credit program based on the company’s planned capital investment in Indiana. These tax credits are performance-based, meaning until Hoosiers are hired, the company is not eligible to claim incentives.

The new facility will be 15,000 sq. ft., with a physical expansion capacity up to 30,000 sq. ft.

On October 13, the Washington City Council received a request for a tax abatement for the new facility, which will be located near the I-69 and U.S. 50/150 interchange east of Washington. The abatement is now pending approval from the Council.

Jeff Quyle, president and CEO of Radius Indiana, commented on the positive nature of the expansion and new job growth: “These are service sector jobs that help to diversify the Daviess County economy and positively match the direction of job growth in the national economy in recent years,” he said.

“As a major healthcare partner in the national pharmaceutical sector, True Rx Management Services represents a strong partner for growth in the Daviess County region,” said Bryant Niehoff, executive director of the Daviess County Economic Development Corporation. “We look forward to supporting their continued positive nationwide impact.”
